Minding Your Mind- Discussion About Stress, Anxiety, Depression and Bullying

CF Patton MS Auditorium
Tuesday, February 23
7:00 PM to 9:00 PM

Join Minding Your Mind in a discussion for students and parents on mental health education. Topics addressed will include anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, bullying, and the difference between positive and negative coping mechanisms.

Minding Your Mind is a not-for-profit organization whose primary objective is to provide mental health education to adolescents, teens, and young adults, as well as parents, teachers, and school administrators. Our goal is to break the silence and to reduce the stigma and destructive behaviors often associated with mental health issues. We strive to move away from crisis-based response to prevention through education.

Mini Thon

On April 9th, Unionville will host its first annual MiniTHON to raise money for Four Diamonds, a non-profit organization dedicated to alleviating the financial burden that many families with cancer patients face. Four Diamonds also collaborates with hospitals and research centers around the world in search of a cure for pediatric cancer. Our goal is to raise $8,000 this year to send to Four Diamonds. We hope that you will help us in our mission to stamp out pediatric cancer with a donation of any size. Thank you again for your support!

Have you registered your Giant and Target cards yet?
FREE Money for Our School – Just a Few Clicks Away
Want to make money for UHS while doing your regular shopping? Both Giant and Target are literally giving money away to those who register their Giant cards and Target cards and designate UHS as their beneficiary school. Please take a minute or two to link your cards with the Giant A+ School Rewards program and the Target Take Charge of Education program. It's so simple and will help support your UHS students! We realize there were some problems signing up for the Giant program during the past few weeks, but the site is back up and running.

Giant A+ School Rewards
Follow instructions for registering your card and enter the School ID: 23978 when prompted to designate UHS as your recipient school. FYI, you will need to have your Giant card number handy when registering.
If you are already registered, you do not need to re-register. The program for this school year begins Oct. 9 – just in time for all of your holiday shopping!

Target Take Charge of Education Program
Link Your Target REDcard to Unionville High School and Target will give UHS 1% of all of your purchases through May 14, 2016. This is the LAST year of the Target program, so let's take full advantage of it!
Just go to and Under "Search for your school," next to the red search box, click on "select by Target School ID," then enter 91509 as the school ID (right near the red search box). UHS should appear, and then you enter your first and last names and REDcard number and hit complete enrollment. It's that easy!
