ALSO

It's not too late to make a donation to the 2016 UHS After Prom.  The After Prom exists and keeps our children safe solely through community support.  For the After Prom party to be well attended, it must be creative, entertaining, and well-planned.  A quality After Prom experience does not happen without financial cost.  Each year, the After Prom committee spends approximately $50.00 per student attending to ensure that the party will be appealing to keep young adults entertained and safe.
For your convenience, you may donate through this link:

Or, you can send your check payable to "UHS AfterProm" to:

UCF Community Scholarship Fund
For over 50 years, the Unionville Chadds Ford Community Scholarship Fund has provided scholarship aid to outstanding graduating seniors at Unionville High School.
The Fund is joint project between all the UCF PTOs as well as the UHS guidance counselors, principal and UCF administration.
Each year, we try to award 7-10 scholarships valued between $700-$1000.
The amount we are able to award varies based on donations received.

We have started our donation campaign and hope that you will consider making a donation.
NO AMOUNT IS TOO SMALL!  To underscore that,  If every family in the district donated $1, we would be able to award 3 scholarships.
We really mean it when we say no donation is too small.
You can have your student drop off the donation to the High School Office in an envelope marked UCF Community Scholarship.
You can send in a dollar, change or if you would like, a check made payable to UCF Community Scholarship Fund.

If you would like to mail in your donation, it can be sent to:
UCF Community Scholarship Fund
UHS c/o Linda Miller
750 Unionville Road
Kennett Square PA 19348

THANK YOU in advance for your support!  Feel free to contact me with any questions.

UHS PTO Volunteer Opportunities for the 2016-2017
The UHS PTO has many wonderful and important programs and events that we run during the school year. We are in need of several UHS PTO Committee Chairs to fill open positions this upcoming school year.

Volunteering is great way to get involved, meet people and enrich the lives of the students at UHS.

If you are interested in volunteering for one of the open positions or have questions about what is involved with a particular volunteer opportunity please contact Kim Lauder at kimlauder@verizon.net. No experience is necessary and the current committee chair or an Exec Board member should be able to provide you with guidance so the transition of responsibilities from one person to the next is a smooth one.

Open UHS PTO Committee Chair Positions:
  • Membership Chairperson – Coordinates the district directory orders/payments, volunteer list and the booster   drive donations
  • Practice SAT – Coordinates and sets the practice SAT testing sessions at UHS
  • PTO Storage/ Inventory – monitors PTO assets stored in the sheds and controls when / if the assets can be lent out

Have you registered your Giant and Target cards yet?
FREE Money for Our School – Just a Few Clicks Away
Want to make money for UHS while doing your regular shopping? Both Giant and Target are literally giving money away to those who register their Giant cards and Target cards and designate UHS as their beneficiary school. Please take a minute or two to link your cards with the Giant A+ School Rewards program and the Target Take Charge of Education program. It's so simple and will help support your UHS students! We realize there were some problems signing up for the Giant program during the past few weeks, but the site is back up and running.

Giant A+ School Rewards
Follow instructions for registering your card and enter the School ID: 23978 when prompted to designate UHS as your recipient school. FYI, you will need to have your Giant card number handy when registering.
If you are already registered, you do not need to re-register. The program for this school year begins Oct. 9 – just in time for all of your holiday shopping!

Target Take Charge of Education Program
Link Your Target REDcard to Unionville High School and Target will give UHS 1% of all of your purchases through May 14, 2016. This is the LAST year of the Target program, so let's take full advantage of it!
Just go to https://www-secure.target.com/redcard/tcoe/home and Under "Search for your school," next to the red search box, click on "select by Target School ID," then enter 91509 as the school ID (right near the red search box). UHS should appear, and then you enter your first and last names and REDcard number and hit complete enrollment. It's that easy!
Any questions? Please contact Gretchen Parisi, UHS Passive Fundraising, at 610-444-2902 or gparisihome@verizon.net

UHS Football team Mulch Fundraiser
It is that time of year again for the UHS Football Team Mulch Fundraiser run by the Quarter Back Club (QBC).  See our 2016 flyer attached. UHS_Football_Mulch_Flyer_2016.pptx
The QBC, the UHS football booster club has a very solid and committed charter.  This organization's purpose is to build a strong UHS football family, enhance the well-being of our athletes, and fully support the coaching staff.
Last year, the fundraiser made almost $15,000.  This was accomplished through the participation of 103 player and parent volunteers, spreading 429 yards of mulch achieving a total of 84 hours of community service.
