On behalf of the Unionville High School PTO, welcome to a new school year! We are looking forward to a productive and successful upcoming school year at Unionville High School.

You will have received a letter from the PTO with the UHS PTO Membership Form in the summer mailing. We appreciate you taking the time to fill out and return this form by mail or via your child during the first week of school. The PTO Membership dollars, as well as proceeds from our key fundraisers enable us to fund approximately $30,000 in curriculum enrichments grants directly benefitting your children each year. Our October 5th PTO meeting is dedicated to reviewing this year's grant requests and all paid PTO members are encouraged to attend that meeting to cast a vote.

This school year we are extremely fortunate to be able to offer UHS close to $40,000 in project enrichment grants due to the success of our main fundraisers during the 2015-2016 school year.

You will also have received the District Directory Order form in the summer mailing.  Please fill this form out and return it via mail or to the school via your child the first week of school if you wish to order a copy of the 2016-2017 District Directory.

The PTO After Prom Committee coordinates the After Prom event and funding. After Prom provides a safe and fun continuation of Prom festivities and is free for all students! We strongly encourage all students to attend this amazing party. We have four Steering Committee members that will be returning this year but they need your help!! The majority of kids that attend Prom also attend After Prom and we want to make this year's event a success. Volunteering is not a choice – it's a responsibility. So get involved and please contact Jen Horne at for ways to help out! An After Prom Kick Off Meeting will take place shortly after the school year starts.

The PTO Membership / Volunteer / Directory form, the 2016-2017 PTO calendar and list of the 2016-2017 UHS PTO committee chairs can be found on the PTO tab of the UHS website along with other important information such as SAT/ACT testing forms. Please take a look when you can.

We look forward to seeing you at one of our events or around school this year. Thank you for your support of your children, the PTO and our school!

Volunteer Clearances- All parents PLEASE READ

The new Pennsylvania law regarding clearances for volunteers is in effect as of July 1, 2016. It is very important that ALL parents visit the webpage set up by the U-CF School District to determine whether or not they need clearances. There is no cost for the PA Child Abuse History Clearance or the PA State Police Criminal Report. If you have lived in PA longer than 10 years, you do not have to get the FBI Background Check, but you must sign a waiver form. If you have lived in PA less than 10 years, you must have an FBI Background Check and there is a charge for that.
Here is the UCFSD link with all the information
Whether or not you need state mandated clearances, the District requires ALL volunteers to fill out a Volunteer Agreement, which may also be found on the above link. The clearances and volunteer agreement must be filed with the main office at Unionville High School. If you have a child in another school in the district and have filed your papers in that school, please notify the UHS office that you have done so. The PTO will not have access to the content of your clearances.
Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our children safe and in following this new Pennsylvania Law.
