Once we have booked a new date for the next PTO meeting we will announce that so it can be added to your calendars. We look forward to seeing you there!
On behalf of the UHS PTO we wish you and your families a happy, healthy and successful 2017.
2017 UHS USED BOOK SALE - NEIGHBORHOOD BOOK COLLECTION - ROUTE SIGN UP
The 2017 Used Book Collection will be Saturday, January 21, 2017.
Once again, we will need Juniors and Seniors with driver's licenses to kick off the 2017 Used Book Sale by collecting used books from neighborhoods in our District. Freshmen/Sophomores can volunteer too, but will need a parent to do the driving. http://www.signupgenius.com/go/5080f4ca8ae2f4-2017
A link to a Google Docs spreadsheet listing the routes is below. Streets are grouped together in numbered routes. Please click on the link, find the route that you prefer, and then sign up for that route number on the Signup Genius.
You may sign up for more than one route. You may collect by yourself or with friends. Just be sure that everyone collecting with you is signed up to insure that they get community service hours. When listing your phone number, please be sure to enter the number where you can be reached on collection day.
In the event of a school closure on collection day (such as for snow), collection will take place the following Saturday.
So, on January 21st, you should start collection after 9:00 AM. When all the streets on your routes are finished and/or your cars are full, bring collected books to the UHS Cafeteria LGI (at the gym entrance) to unload. Book sale committee members will be at school to meet you. It may take multiple trips to complete your route.
HOURS COLLECTING USED BOOKS QUALIFY FOR COMMUNITY SERVICE HOURS, INCLUDING NHS "MANDATORY" HOURS.

The idea to bring her to our district came out of discussions at our district's Wellness Committee meetings and discuss one of her books-How to Raise an Adult . This is an exciting opportunity for our community. Here is the link to our registration site: https://howtoraiseanadult.eventbrite.com. See attached flyer Poster for Julie 1.3.pdf
