After Prom Kick-Off Meeting - Monday, October 2nd, 7pm at Floga Bistro

Every year, Prom season has the most alcohol-related traffic fatalities for 16 to 19 year olds nationwide. Thankfully, since the Unionville After Prom started more than 20 years ago, our students have not been one of those statistics.  The After Prom is a community effort to give our students a fun and safe alternative to engaging in risky behavior on prom night. We need parents from ALL grades to help in planning the 2018 After Prom and that planning starts NOW.  Please watch this 4 minute video showing highlights from last year's After Prom and read this article about our After Prom featured in the Philly Inquirer from 2012.

Please join us for our first planning meeting on Monday, October 2 at 7pm at Floga Bistro (826 East Baltimore Pike, Kennett Square -- where the Giant is in Longwood).  If you would like to get involved, but cannot attend, please email Luci McClure luci.mcclure@gmail.com.  Thank you!

Homecoming Dance - October 7th

No School - October 9th and October 19th

PTO Enrichment Projects Meeting - October 12 at 9:15am

Please join us for the next PTO meeting on Thursday, October 12 at 9:15am. This is a very important meeting because we will be voting on approval for educational enrichment projects submitted to us by faculty and staff at UHS.  Through our fundraising efforts, we have approximately $56,000 in enrichment funds to be awarded! Come to hear about these interesting and often cutting-edge enrichment projects. According to our by-laws, you must be a member of the PTO to be able to vote. Membership is $5 and may be paid at the meeting if you have not previously submitted a membership donation. We look forward to seeing you at the meeting!

Art Gala - November 17 & 18 -- Please Help!

The Unionville Art Gala is the second largest fundraiser sponsored by the UHS PTO and it is less than two months away! This is a fun event featuring more than 60 professional local artists of various mediums as well as a student art section featuring works by our own talented UHS artists. Please view this short video for works from last year's show. No artistic experience is needed to help! Be on the lookout for the next meeting in October or email Tammi Maciolek tmaciolek@me.com if you would like to help.

Breaking ENews - September 4th

UHS PTO eNews
September 04, 2017

This eNews communication is intended as a supplement to provide families with important information related to their school or district. Breaking eNews will only be published when changes occur to previously issued communications or urgent information needs to be distributed.  Please read this document carefully for this information may impact your family.

Important 2017/2018 PTO Directory Information

Please note that ordering a PTO directory will not automatically include your family in the directory.  The communication below was originally distributed by the district office on August 29th and includes information related to publishing your family's information in this year's directory.  We believe some of our families might have missed this information and we want to make sure everyone has the opportunity to be included in the 2017/2018 directory.

Districtict Communication:

The Annual Directory is a service (and a UCF PTO tradition) we are pleased to offer that helps foster connections between families.
This year’s directory will be bigger and better than ever.  To increase it’s usefulness (and maybe save a few trees) we will be providing a PDF version of the directory in addition to the printed version.

  • The PDF version is free and will be available in PowerSchool in the Parent Portal
  • Printed directories will still be available as in the past for a nominal fee of $8.00

To be listed in the directory provide your contact information online using this link
Directory Information Input  Form

To order a printed version of the directory use this linkMembership and Directory Form (click here)

  • print and fill out the order form
  • Pay $8.00 cash or check (made out to your local PTO)
  • Send the form and payment to the school office

DEADLINES

The deadline for filling out the Directory Input Form is Friday, September 8th

Directories will be published and delivered in mid September
